Jiuzhaigou is really worth visiting

Mid-October in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan. The lake is so clear you can count the old logs on the bottom, and the hills around it are turning gold and red right now.

Nobody painted these hills. Zhangye in Gansu stacked red, orange and cream rock for millions of years, then wind carved it into stripes. Right before sunset it almost glows.
