WE PRESS ON
(Inspired by Philippians 3:12-14)
Through shadows deep, we seek His light,
Surrendered sin, our hearts take flight,
To know our Lord, our souls aspire,
A heavenly prize, our one desire.
With faith renewed, we press on.
The past we leave, like refuse cast,
Old ways of pride no longer last,
His cross now guides our every plea,
A mind transformed, from bondage free.
In trust we grow, we press on.
Temptations rise, the flesh may call,
Yet on His cross, we nail them all,
The Spirit reigns, our steps secure,
To walk in grace, both bold and pure.
Through daily choice, we press on.
With power bold, and love so sweet,
His strength within us sings,
We march with disciplined, sure feet,
To claim eternal things.
Through Him we leap, we press on.

GRACIAS Leo Messi 🐐
From that gold medal in Beijing in 2008 to an unforgettable career, making history every step of the way with La Albiceleste. 🥇🇦🇷
Congratulations, Leo, for continuing to make Argentina’s jersey even more iconic! 🐐👏
🚨 Diego Simeone: “It seems Barcelona is playing a different sport from the one we're playing”.
“They didn't have a number 9 striker, then Raphinha showed up and scored 12 goals”.
“And Yamal, if I'm not mistaken, scored 7”.
“They press you in your own stadium and steal your time, and they don't fear taking risks and conceding a goal”, told ESPN.
“They are the BEST now”.
I have been suspended from the @Senate_KE for three sitting days for REFUSING to withdraw the word “yapping” in describing the President’s ROADSIDE declaration on undocumented immigrants.
I respect the Chair, but I will not surrender the constitutional duty to speak truth to power.
Article 135 requires PRESIDENTIAL decisions made under the Constitution to be in WRITING , SEALED and SIGNED. A roadside utterance cannot acquire the force of law simply because it comes from the President.
If calling out UNCONSTITUTIONAL governance is punishable, then the greater danger is not the word “yapping”. It is the growing intolerance for accountability.
Three days outside the Chamber will not silence me. I will continue to defend the Constitution and the Kenyan people. https://t.co/PkvYwrBgq5
🔵🔴 OFFICIAL: Hansi Flick confirms Barcelona captains order.
“The captaincy order is Raphinha first, Pedri second, Eric García third, Frenkie de Jong fourth and Lamine Yamal fifth”.
🩵🤍 Full statement by Lionel Messi: “I wrote these words on July 21, two days after the final… today, after what happened with my dad, I’m even more convinced of this decision than before”.
“After all this time since the final, and after thinking about it a lot, I want to tell everyone that I’m retiring from the national team.
"It was a decision that hurt and still hurts deep inside, but I understand that this is the right moment.
"I swear I always gave everything, not only in these last few years when we won everything, but before that too. I always fought and gave everything for this shirt, to bring you happiness and make you feel proud to be Argentine through football.
"There isn’t much time left, and different chapters are coming to an end. This is one that hurts me a lot. I love, I loved, and I will always love being part of the national team. I gave everything I had, and I don’t have anything more to give.
"Also, there are great young players coming through who deserve to be here.
"Thank you for all the love during these 20 years. I’m going to miss hearing you from the inside. Now I’ll be one of you, always supporting from the outside, in the good times and even more in the bad ones.
"Thank you to my family for always being there and for being with me throughout this beautiful but difficult journey. Thank you to every coach, teammate and director I had the chance to share it with. I take with me unforgettable memories and moments.
"I leave with peace and pride, knowing that together with my teammates we gave you moments we once dreamed of. It was crazy to experience all of this with you. I love you!
"Thank you God for making me Argentine.
"Vamos Argentina!
