The beautiful Grade I listed St Hubert’s Church in Idsworth, Hampshire.

Dating back to at least 1053, the church is home to medieval wall paintings dating to the 1330s. As you walk around, you’re taken on an incredible 1,000-year journey through history.

The east window of St Peter ad Vincula features stained glass from the studio of renowned Victorian designer Charles Eamer Kempe.

Victorian decorative paintings surround the window frame, creating a fascinating blend of medieval tradition and Victorian craftsmanship.

Looking through photos from 2018 and remembering my visit to the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Chithurst, West Sussex.

There is something so peaceful about this tiny 11th-century gem tucked away by the River Rother. A truly timeless place.

St. Laurence Church, Bradford on Avon.

This beautiful ancient church dates back to the early 11th century. Today, it remains a place of sacred worship and pilgrimage.

A great day exploring Thetford. Ended the trip perfectly with tea and cake at St. Cuthberts.

Another stop today was Thetford Castle.

This massive Norman motte-and-bailey sits directly within much earlier Iron Age earthworks, once used as a defensive stronghold by the Iceni tribe. The scale of the mound is incredible.

Today’s trip to The Priory of Our Lady of Thetford.

A peaceful wander around the ruins of this remarkable medieval priory. Another fascinating piece of history discovered along the way.

All Saints Church in Barrington, Cambridgeshire.

Built in the 13th century primarily from locally quarried clunch stone, this beautiful structure stands watch over one of the largest village greens in England.
