It's now become a common to hear stories of African men who migrated to the West complaining about their marriages. And much of it, stems from the change in lifestyle/habits from their women

Here's a look at why they struggle so much

1. NO GENDER ROLES - unlike in Africa where they're gender roles, it's a different case in the West. The man is expected to do some of the duties which would be traditionally for the woman

And this is where our African brothers struggle, coming from a set-up whereby as the husband he's not expected to clean the house, do laundry, cook and wash the dishes

It crashes their masculine spirit, now having to do a woman's duties

2. THE WOMAN EARNS - in the West, the women almost earn as much as the men. This means the provider mentality the African man was raised up on is disregarded

Without the breadwinner title, most of them don't have an identity. Men generally want to feel needed and in Africa the number 1 need of almost every woman is money. So when money is taken out of the equation, the man is left confused, as to what else can he be needed for

3. WOMEN IN THE WEST HAVE SO MUCH POWER - the Western society is feminized, it is so biased towards women to such a point that it affects marriages

And the women know this, such that they start abusing this power. It gets so bad to such a point that the man ends up in what can be termed a PINS AND NEEDLES relationship. This is a relationship whereby the man walks on eggshells

He is always second guessing all his words and actions, such that he doesn't piss the wife, who can just end up making life miserable for him.

4. SHE NEVER LOVED HIM - most men only discover this once they've relocated with the African wife to the West. With all the powers women have there, she can finally show her true colors

Most women in Africa are with their husbands as a means to escape poverty. Once they have economic opportunities in the West, they have no reason to pretend anymore

She'll do everything in her power to make your life a living hell, knowing very well should you even divorce, she's almost guaranteed to get half of everything you have
