Teddy Baldock Statue Update:

Unfortunately no arrests have been made and the statue has not been recovered.

A meeting with Loss Adjusters tomorrow will determine whether the cost of a replacement will be covered by insurance.

The Foundry responsible for the Sir Henry Cooper Statue in South London have agreed to cast the replacement Statue. But since the moulds cannot be located this will now involve 3D scanning of a miniature which will be upscaled, 3D Printed and a mould produced for recasting in bronze.

The boxing boots from the original will be recycled.

Hopefully the Pride of Poplar will soon be back where he belongs.

Last night scum stole the statue of my Grandfather Teddy Baldock Britain's youngest ever World Boxing Champion. The statue was unveiled outside the Langdon Park DLR Station in Poplar, East London. Years of work and a stunning work of art by the sculptor, the late Carl Payne will be sold for scrap and melted down. Please retweet in case we can recover it.
