@MiddleAgedBaby2@3YearLetterman I went to the 2011 SEC Championship. Thought Georgia had a chance for about 5 minutes and then we just got absolutely cooked. Was eating chips & salsa in a nearby mexican restaurant before the game even ended.
@camolNFT The fix is it needs to be exclusively a human eye call. No VAR. The completely SUBJECTIVE call of the sideline judge is superior to chasing perfection through technology at the expense of terrible game flow.
@KirkHerbstreit let’s say you want to watch US domestic third tier 👆🏼instead of the World Cup tomorrow. Basically any game in the world, if it’s on something these guys find it.
@KirkHerbstreit This simple App is exactly what you want. It’s like an old fashioned TV guide. I suggest hiding scores (spoilers) https://t.co/QQnVYqme1i
@schadjoe IMO, the “fix” that everybody is searching for is that it should only be a human eye judgement call. No VAR. There’s no way to legislate ticky-tack things out of sport (if that’s the goal) when you rely on Tech as the ultimate arbiter. We don’t review holding and offsides in 🏈
@DjShockley3 Multiple Georgia students were carried off that upper deck on stretchers, it was hotter than hell’s front porch. The lake view in the distance was torture if otherwise cool.
@ClayTravis Wish they would use the 9th game as a TBD slot so that it could (sometimes) function as a CCG. Use standings to schedule game 9-start with 1st vs next highest they have NOT played. Big when you get a clean 1v2. Would always help hack thru awkward tiebreakers. Covid era nimble.
@TimBrando@ChaseDaniel@CFBPlayoff Re: game attendance, older gens aging out of going to every game as a matter of-course will converge with decade+ of “mulligans” and playoff inventory overload causing major softening of reg season ticket demand. “Excited to be relevant in November” won’t be exciting forever.
@TEwracademy@GeorgiaFootball Did somebody have to fill in on the play-by-play for Larry Munson back then ? I recognize the voice, maybe i’m missing something.
@DawgNationDaily The ath dept needs the basketball version of Jeremy Pruitt IPF speech. I can’t point at donors when i’m not one, but are the relationship managers even cross-selling the sport of basketball…beating the bushes a little bit ? Begged Magill folks to help you get momentum ?
@drob1209@ClayTravis Without it, no governing body of collegiate sports can meaningfully regulate anything. At the moment, collegiate sports is governed by judicial precedent (a horrible way to run an organization) until Congress removes them from the yolk of the Sherman Antitrust Act.
