Now The New York Post now says Chinese crude imports fell nearly 40% below the 2025 average, cutting roughly 4 million barrels per day of demand — equal to the combined oil consumption of Germany and France.

That helped offset the supply shock from the Iran conflict and Hormuz disruption.

So the real question is:
How long could the world have survived Trump’s war if China had not reduced its oil demand?

Trump started the fire.
Iran shipped oil once restrictions eased.

But China’s reduced buying helped keep the market from exploding.

The world keeps pretending China is the risk.

Then every crisis quietly reveals that China is also the stabilizer.

Xi didn't get involved with the whole thing with Iran. He could have gotten involved. He could have sent a nice oil ship surrounded by 12 destroyers and see if he could blast his way through the blockade.

Whatever one's political preferences, the President of the United States has no business publicly mocking or insulting the democratically elected leader of a close European ally.

President Trump's childish and needlessly confrontational behaviour is unworthy of the office he holds and of the great nation he represents.

Hezbollah violated the ceasefire and struck an Israeli tank, killing four Israeli soldiers.

Israel responded with extensive IDF strikes against Hezbollah targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

Then Iran canceled its planned trip to Switzerland, claiming Israel had violated the ceasefire.

Translation: Hezbollah attacks Israel. Israel responds. Iran uses Israel’s response as the excuse to delay diplomacy.
