It's National Welding Month, and the American Welding Society is asking people to share their welding stories. Here's one of our favorite stories from Weld Red Nation:

"This is my husband, Danny. He is a combat-wounded Marine and a Purple Heart Recipient. In 2008, while on his fourth deployment in Iraq, he was severely injured by an IED while on foot patrol. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and lost his hearing in one ear and his sight in his left eye. He spent nine months in a hospital and underwent 12 surgeries so he could walk, talk, and take care of himself again. He will be on medication for life to control the seizures ... but he's here, and we're grateful! I tell you this because even the smallest gestures, like a welding helmet with a light, can make a big difference for someone with only one eye to work with!" - Kristyn Novoa, @WarfighterMade⁣⁣⁠
