I am glad that @GregAbbott_TX is taking a stand against letting Texas get invaded now
Europe is on the verge of falling
We do not need the United States to be next
What in the world is wrong with the food in America?
There is a reason some Americans swear they travel through Europe, eat bread, pasta, cheese, and pastries every day, and feel better than they do eating the “same” foods at home.
Why is that? Let's break it down.
America’s food environment is highly industrialized.
More than half of the calories eaten by American adults now come from ultraprocessed foods. These are industrial formulations built around refined starches, oils, sugars, flavorings, emulsifiers, colors, stabilizers, chemicals, and other additives. Europe certainly has junk food, but European diets largely rely more heavily on simpler foods.
Agricultural practices differ too. The EU prohibits using glyphosate as a pre-harvest desiccant to control harvest timing and extensively monitors pesticide residues. In America it is routine practice. That is INSANE, we literally spray poison on foods right before we harvest them to dry them.
GMO corn, soy, canola, and sugar beet ingredients are widespread in American processed foods far more than Europe too.
The stronger argument, in my view, is the entire food system. European and American regulators sometimes make different decisions about additives. Titanium dioxide, for example, was removed from EU foods after regulators concluded that genotoxicity could not be ruled out, while the FDA still permits it within specified limits. There are many examples like this. The food in America simply is more toxic.
Then add fermentation methods, different wheat varieties, different dairy products, portion sizes, fewer snacks, more walking, and potentially much less ultraprocessed food while traveling. Suddenly someone feeling dramatically better in Europe becomes far less mysterious.
Europe is not entirely a chemical-free food paradise. But the broader lesson is legitimate: sometimes the problem is not simply bread, dairy, or wheat. It is what an industrialized food system has done to the foods surrounding them.
Never leave two foxes alone for more than a minute. They always get into trouble.
Thank you to @RealKrystalFox and Kyle Rhys Marsh for lending their voices in my latest animation. And thank you to @Domi_3D for these stellar clothes and updates on the warfaremachine models.
It's simple to filter/fix.
Asylum can be granted in the US, but only on condition that you can never return to the country you are fleeing from.
One way ticket.
Christopher Nolan used a clever mirror system on the cameras while filming The Odyssey, allowing actors to maintain natural eye contact and a stronger emotional connection during close-up shots.
IMAX cameras are notoriously loud, making it difficult to capture clean dialogue on set without relying on post-production dubbing. To solve this, Christopher Nolan and IMAX engineers developed a soundproof housing for the camera. However, the enclosure made the camera so wide that it had to sit between actors during intimate dialogue scenes, blocking their direct view of each other.
The solution was a clever two-mirror system. The actor being filmed looks into one mirror, which reflects the image of the off-screen actor positioned behind the camera. This allows both performers to maintain natural eye contact and emotional connection, creating the impression that no camera is physically separating them.
🚨#BREAKING: A grand jury has REFUSED TO INDICT an man for destroying a Flock camera in Ohio.
Cody Morelock allegedly brought down the camera, solar panel and support pole before destroying them.
A grand jury wouldn't indict him and the charges have been dismissed.
Flock takes their privacy very seriously.
But the ethical gray area in surveillance technology works both ways.
Under no circumstances should elected officials or public servants enjoy an expectation of privacy when spending tax dollars to attend a surveillance lobbying event.
