@DeanH2963@mwt2008 Mark,
Can you please explain why 30% of the electricity costs at our manufacturing plants are due to Govt levies that is subsidies for renewables.
@RichardLyon_@GeoffreyLean During the Roman period, apparently the sea level was around 1 metre higher at the west end of Hadrians Wall which is why it was designed differently to the rest of it
@Jim9pzru@Tw_timerAlder Honest Alder,
You are having a go at Jim who was an EDF enegy engineer and has worked in the sector for 20 years, so dont dismiss him as you have done.
Out of interest, what is your experience of the energy sector.
@ret_ward I've been an Environmental manager for 21 years and the environment has just become another way for some people organisations and especially big business to make money.
Views on both sides are to polarised with no one prepared to listen to alternative views as you demonstrate.
@renewablesmiffy@Peak_Ascent Can you please explain why 30% of the electricity costs at our manufacturing plants are due to Govt levies that is subsidies for renewables.
@FollowTheScien4@Slacksoft_uk@KathrynPorter26 A colleague and I were implementing measures at work with 1200 people weeks before the 1st lockdown as you could see from Europe what was coming
The HSE asked what we were going to do told them what we had done Sent a report so it could be used elsewhere as no guidance available
@jonburkeUK@RichardLyon_ Google implies the continental shelfs are seperate due to a treaty between UK and Norway.
But Richard is right that the basin was formed in the Jurassic and the reservoirs cover the entire Geological column. It runs from Germany/Denmark to UK/Norway.
@KateFantom@TheRealRolfster So if its cheaper why is 30% of the electricity costs at our manufacturing plants due to Govt levies that is subsidies.
At this rate there will be little industry left.
We have more spikes in our supply than before renewables came along.
@GrandDeadMoo@KathrynPorter26@7Kiwi I know a farmer who put in a digester several years ago running on grass and wouldn't have done it without the subsidy.
There are a lot of diesel used to fertilise the grass, cut it 3 times in a season, etc.
Take that into account and not as green as people think.
