@FELibrary_ If a single acoustic call traveled thousands of miles on its own, it was likely the low-frequency rumble of a blue or fin whale riding the deep-ocean SOFAR channel. Humpback calls use a wide range of frequencies, so SOFAR won't transmit their entire song.
