@andrewtychen Maybe have somewhere that people from the city go on weekends where they also share the illusion of board games and books. Where you can sell them that vision for the weekend before they head home, crushed, to face another “work week”. Try Martinborough, Waiheke Island, Wanaka.
@AndrewDickson13 I thought you central otago types would have found a way to MacGyver snow into power decades ago. On a serious note, hope you chopped enough firewood last summer and can stay warm.
This is well worth a read. If we’re truly interested in building collaboration in the profession we need to go back to the beginning and think about the behaviour we’re modeling and rewarding from first year law onwards.

A digital strategy for our court system! Turns out that a lot of thinking has been done about the future of the courts and how they can transform to deliver justice for all of us. It’s a nice way to spend the morning. And this is an important step. https://t.co/bfaBpcN0Ix
Neat little script (program? is that the right word?) that Lexis Advance has to automatically convert the word "Crown" in judgment titles to "R" in the case name field. Which mostly works, except when a party is actually called Crown.
Work in Aotearoa heavily favours the able. And this reinforces the statistics. It creates disabling experiences for people with disabilities and their carers, further isolating them from playing a significant part in our society. /13 @WarrenForsterNZ@PaulaTesoriero@SachaDylan
Steve Maharey’s piece today correctly records “…all around us we see inequalities that are unjustified and an offence to any country that says it cares about social justice”.
The question is: what are we going to do about it?

@AndrewDickson13 I can see in his eyes that George is sorry for eating the rock. George loves you… he wants to wish you happy birthday. Don’t be fooled by the rocks that he’s got. He still George from the [back] blocks. He used to have a little nap he has a lot…
@rafmanji I’ve had cases where women (sadly) made decisions and structured their lives so not to be in a relationship of the nature of marriage. The Government disagreed and caused so many problems for their lives (and kids). Despite the info sheet, the Government decides, not the people!
@edwardmwillis@StrictlyObiter I know it can be tempting, but I’m sure you’ve heard that deepfakes are coming and that they can even fool the greatest legal minds. If you need to know more have a look at the work from Brainbox.
