The Warwick Fire Department reminds everyone to have a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in your house. Don't become a victim of an avoidable tragedy during the holidays. Check your batteries.
#Christmas tree fires are much more likely to be deadly than most fires. Shorts in electrical lights or open flames from candles, lighters or matches start tree fires. Well-watered trees are not a problem. A dry and neglected tree can be. #HolidayFireSafety
Considering deep frying this year? Use your #turkey fryer only outdoors on a sturdy, level surface well away from things that can burn. Make sure to have a “3-foot kid-and pet-free zone” around your turkey fryer to protect against burn injuries. #ThanksgivingWeek
