Pleased to be quoted in this thoughtful piece about the technical education pathways. Lots to reflect on - and no shortage of lessons learnt from previous reforms - as we hopefully make the most of what should be an exciting opportunity.

Still reflecting on a great day at the GLF Schools Leadership Conference. Honest conversations, shared focus on equity and opportunity, and a real sense of momentum. And a brilliant reminder from our pupils why this work matters.

Two weeks on, we're still reflecting on our Drama, Art & Eco Showcase at Highdown School.
From live performances to artwork and sustainability projects, students from across GLF Schools shared their talents with confidence and pride.
Well done to everyone involved! 👏

Warwick Sharp appointed CEO @GLFSchools. Former teacher now Director of Strategy & Delivery at DfE. Two decades of experience in education policy, his strong leadership & organisational development expertise will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow GLF Schools.
I’m deeply honoured to have been appointed as Secretary of State for Education by the PM @RishiSunak. Education transforms lives - I know that talent is spread equally around the country and I will work tirelessly to ensure opportunity is also.
I want to say a massive thank you to schools and teachers across the country for their handling of the heatwave this week.
The vast majority of schools stayed open so children could continue with their learning safely.

Delighted to welcome @nadhimzahawi to DfE as our Secretary of State for Education.
On behalf of DfE colleagues we look forward to working with you to help children and learners of all ages to realise their potential.
It has been a privilege to serve as Education Secretary since 2019. Despite the challenges of the global pandemic, I’m particularly proud of the transformational reforms I’ve led in Post 16 education: in further education colleges, our Skills agenda, apprenticeships and more.
We’re helping recently arrived Afghan refugees get school places for their children, as they rebuild their lives.
We are also providing English lessons and specialist teachers for those who need extra support settling in.

A massive end of term thank you to everyone working in schools. (And I know some colleagues are going into next week!). What resilience and stamina to keep going through difficult times - time hopefully now to get a bit of a break and relax.
I’m pleased to confirm the reappointment of @Amanda_Spielman as Her Majesty's Chief Inspector for @Ofstednews for a new term of two years.
Her experience is invaluable to help make sure every child is able to recover from the impact of the pandemic.
