Sorry to hear that. There are many of us! And I'm very proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community. 🏳️🌈

Hope you have a great day!
A Black family in Seattle got their home appraised: $670,000.
3 weeks later, they took down their family photos and African art. A white neighbor stood in for the family when a new appraiser arrived.
New value: $929,000.

But on a more serious note do y’all see how people back up wealth to the point of violence? They were literally protesting to be able to afford medication to live.
Many states don’t allow mail-in ballots to be counted before Election Day.
But many races can’t be called until mail-ins are counted, which can take over 24h.
This is normal, but some GOP are laying ground to claim any race not called tonight is suspicious. Don’t fall for it.

Helen Ofrancia is here voting on her new contract and her sister, Trifina, is accompanying her! Helen has worked at Safeway for 30 years and is a checker at Safeway 219 in Seattle.
“I’m excited for the increase to our pension funding, especially as I prepare for retirement!”
"When you have a special-needs daughter with a host of doctors' appointments — even with adequate health insurance, you've got co-pays," she said. "Now, it's just going to make it significantly more stressful if there was something major coming up.""

Now, as we celebrate the ability to travel and hug loved ones is also the time to remember that we can and should right these wrongs before we find ourselves in the midst of yet another crisis."

"Even as the pandemic comes to a close, the economic recovery is far over. People continue to struggle to pay their most basic bills, and summer always means that the kids who rely on school lunches as their only meal of the day have to find alternative ways to feed themselves.
The pandemic revealed the inherent interdependence and dramatic inequity of the systems that shape our lives. It showed us that housing, economic stability, and racial justice are all part of the quality of our public health.
