At Washington Gas, our people power everything we do.
This month, we’re highlighting Chelsea Shelton.
As the fleet manager, she oversees the vehicles and equipment that help Washington Gas employees deliver safe, reliable service across the DMV.
Thank you, Chelsea, for your hard work and dedication! 👏
Being Here for the DMV means investing in our communities.
Today, we announced $545,000 in community investment grants supporting 46 nonprofit organizations across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
These investments help expand access to opportunity, support children and families, and strengthen communities across the region.
We’re grateful to our nonprofit partners leading this important work and look forward to continuing to build lasting impact together!

With just days left in Maryland’s legislative session, lawmakers are making quiet, last minute decisions that could raise your energy bill—without your input!
At risk of being cut is the EmPOWER program, which saves residents and businesses money through free energy audits, rebates, weatherization materials, and energy efficient appliances.
Since 2015, this program has saved Marylanders $272 million on their bills.
At the same time, policymakers are also considering changes that would allow the Maryland PSC to shift the full upfront cost of natural gas connections onto customers and builders. That short sighted move would drive up housing costs further for you and your family.
Make your voice heard!
