Boys Of Fall would not have been the same without my good friend @SeanPayton. This is Sean giving a pregame speech in Naperville, Illinois where he played High School football. This speech wasn’t scripted. He spoke from heart. Sean is a great football coach but he is a great communicator and motivator. This speech still gives me chills. Sean I am forever grateful. It’s football season everyone. KC
The Chris Drury's of the world are gone...youth baseball like other sports have turned into kids being little professionals...playing year round, travel teams, hitting coaches, pitching coaches, early specialization...sometimes I think the little league world series comes down to the team that is lucky enough to have the most kids hit puberty first. Years ago many kids used to finish summer baseball and get excited for the start of football...now they get excited to start fall baseball. Its a personal view but I always question how hungry and excited an athlete can be doing the same thing all the time...especially when kids are normally wired for variety and diversity ...maybe that's why there is such a huge drop off in youth sports after age 12...maybe they are not excited at all, perhaps they are not ones making the decisions over the years and it takes the young athlete to the rebellious teenage years to speak up and say this not for me...sad really because if a young athlete had more exposure to other sports and activities, less stress and more fun and be allowed to choose their own destination who knows what could happen...maybe that former pitcher picks up javelin one day or that soccer player starts running cross country, the oversized chubby kid finds a barbell and 3 years later is not so chubby anymore. The point is childhood is way to early to decide what sport someone should play. Do we make kids declare a major in elementary school? So why do they have to choose one sport to play as a child? Give them choices and options to grow and watch what happens...
NEW: ABC moderator Linsey Davis says the fact-checks of Donald Trump during the debate was retaliation for CNN not doing it during the June debate.
Davis said to the LA Times that she didn’t want Trump’s comments to just “hang” there.
The moderators also studied hours of Trump rallies and interviews to be ready to counter him.
“People were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang and not [be] disputed by the candidate Biden, at the time, or the moderators,” Davis said.
The moderators failed to fact check Harris once, including when she referred to the “fine people” hoax.
@MattWallace888
Tucker Carlson says that the U.S. is not a Democracy because it's being run by unelected officials - the CIA comes to mind.
Do you believe him?
@MattWallace888 25 yr old pizza delivery man runs into burning house, saves four children who tell him another might be in the house. He goes back in, finds the girl, jumps out a window with her, and carries her to a cop who captures the moment on his bodycam.
If you only have 3 minutes to watch Tucker Carlson’s show today, this is the 3 minutes you need to see.
The pharma treadmill is making everyone sick, and you won’t believe how bad it is until you see these stats:
• Autism rates in kids are 1 in 36 nationally, compared to 1 in 1500 in the not-so-distant past.
• In California, it's even worse: Autism rates are 1 in 22.
• 74% of American adults are overweight or obese.
• Close to 50% of children are overweight or obese.
• 50% of American adults have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.
• 30% of teens now have prediabetes.
• Infertility is increasing by 1% per year.
• Sperm counts are decreasing by 1% per year since the 1970s.
• Young adult cancers are up 79%.
What's causing all this? It's simple: “Our TOXIC food system and our TOXIC environment.”
@CaseyMeansMD explains:
“The thing that people need to understand is that all of these conditions are caused or driven by the exact same thing, which is metabolic dysfunction. This core foundational issue of how our bodies on the cellular level function, which is driven by our toxic food system and our toxic environment.
“These subtle, insidious forces that are creating slow progressive illness, starting now in fetal life, that allow patients to be profitable and on the pharma treadmill for their entire lives. They make us sick, but they don't kill us. And then we are drugged for life.”
@SimGillDA In a previous tweet about Dr Ruth you mentioned how “truth & kindness are much needed now”… so do we just write words one day and go complete opposite the next?
