@IBDimmunology Safety of JAK-Inhibitors in pregnancy is unclear, but Upa crosses placenta in animal models and there isn't a ton of data. Ciclosporin and IFX equally effective, but b/c safety profile would prefer IFX, if no prior anti-tnf treatment failure.

@Endo_OC @UmaMahadevanIBD Not a lot of clinical data on upa in pregnancy, but does pass the placenta in animal studies - definitely not first choice. Ant-TNF is safe and effective in this contexet. Also, fast onset (controlling inflammation is key for good pregnancy outcome!)
