It showcases Australia, Ireland, the Netherland and Norway as exemplars of best practice.

📣 Norway leads the world in patient safety – the UK ranks 21st
Today, we launched the Global State of Patient Safety 2025, jointly produced by the Institute of Global Health Innovation at @imperialcollege and the charity @WatchPatient, who funded the report.

The message is clear: the UK’s patient safety gap is measurable - and therefore fixable.
When tens of thousands of deaths may be preventable, closing that gap must be a national priority.
