The polar shift of Canadian politics between the feds and Ontario is real. Nearly 85% of the time since WW2 has had a different party in Ottawa than at Queen's Park.
We're right on schedule for another, based on post-1980 trends, too.
The strongest indication anywhere that the Federal Liberals are on their way out of Ottawa and the Conservatives will win, is when the Ontario Liberals are in a serious fight to take back control of Queen's Park from the Tories.
It's the polar shift of Canadian politics.
If a guy screams "Heil Hitler!" in your face, you're not going to accomplish anything by debating the finer points of the Rhineland occupation. Similarly, if someone is shrieking for intifada, they don't care in the slightest that their genocide libel is fake. They've announced what they value, and it isn't the truth.
When it’s someone else’s fault, like Brexit, it’s a recession.
When it’s Mark Carney’s fault it’s “uneven data.”
This guy is a weasel. Incompetent. Full of excuses. Never to blame for anything.
@TorontoDDG "The short term trend is up."
Except it isn't. The trend remains downward, even when including this past quarter - because everyone knows a single month alone doesn't define a trend.
Thanks again for proving to everyone watching what a retard you actually are.
@CPAC_TV Blue collar conservatives HATE Canada 🇨🇦. Totally freaked by numbers all of a sudden. Must have learned them?
Bug out. Jump ship. Get the hell out of Dodge
A Global Technical Recession
@Jenrobwain@GraemeMenzies That's because it doesn't. There are massive sampling issues with all these polls and they can't be bothered to address any of it because it just feeds back into a media-driven narrative feedback loop.
Back in late 2023, CBC News interviewed a teenage girl, Amelie North, who told them that she and her friends had used diverted “safer supply” hydromorphone. CBC then censored any mention of safer supply diversion when reporting on her story — I know this because Amelie was one of my journalistic sources.
To put it this way: the CBC was so committed to defending the Liberals’ safer supply experiment that they essentially lied to Canadians — including parents with vulnerable children — about the dangers of diversion. They put kids at risk for the sake of their partisan agenda.
And now they have the audacity to present themselves as a bulwark against disinformation.

✨WATCH: KLF gracefully takes on Global News when asked about the BC NDP calling her “MAGA NORTH” and “extremist”
She is a complete natural with the media and doesn’t shy away from the tough questions
@wyatt_claypool It reminds me of the most insufferable losers in school - the ones who bully everyone, and then when someone finally does something back to them, they cry like it's the end of the world
Canada has been shitting on the Americans for a decade. They're just reciprocating what we do
CBS has fired “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley, and rightly so. He betrayed journalistic principles in platforming debunked science, in being closed-minded and dogmatic, and in behaving like a pompous ass. Good riddance.
@vitamindees The polling is messed up. There are huge sample issues with the responses that they have no motivation or desire to correct because the results just feed into the media feedback self-confirming loop.
@TorontoDDG That's the last six quarters, my dear. Since I'm a nice guy, I added an arrow to help you better understand the trend you're actually looking at.
"Another member of the council is Omar Alghabra, the one-time president of the Canadian Arab Federation, an organization that, following his tenure, lost its federal funding for supporting terrorist groups.
The CBC never shared these details with its readers." @terrynewman
