It is also important to differentiate the men allegedly “leaving” the workforce. She means white men. Much higher numbers of black and Hispanic men have been out of or unwilling to participate in the workforce for a very long time. Never has ms Koch and others been curious about this.

White men is who they are talking about. I know mostly white men and scarcely have I even been aware of a friend of a friend, let alone a man I know personally, that was able to work but decided not to. Many including Auron have pointed out the obvious that this has been imposed on men rather than a choice by them.

How many hundreds of jobs do they want us to apply to with automated rejection after automated rejection? We’ve all seen the guys posting their 500th or 1000th job application without getting an offer, some of us have even been that guy. She believes that’s men ditching the workplace? It’s clearly narrative construction, there obviously isn’t any evidence to support what her and WSJ are insinuating. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this lie proliferate in order to try to paint white men as lazy and undeserving in an attempt to further minimize their importance in politics and society.

Are we supposed to believe they want men, particularly white men, back in the workforce? If that were true they’d have their own special incentives and cutouts like everyone else. When will Koch and others insist companies ditch the incentives for excluding men in order to level the playing field? When will there be any real accountability held for sexual and ethnic discrimination in hiring? Women hire women, Indians hire indians, nobody bats an eye.

This is just insulting. Most men have been trying harder than ever to just get a job. To the extent that some are leaving, why would you be surprised? At this point it makes more sense as a white man to go off on your own and try to build something yourself.

Again, this is just laying the foundation of this narrative. There is no mystery here
