We @statsbomb are hiring devs (and almost every other role)
Even if you don't care about the cool industry you would find 3 days in Bath great, the culture here is phenomenal and we're working on some really exciting projects (computer vision, data science, visualisations etc)
Personal news thread:
My 90's matchday routine was pretty different. While most tape recorders were being used by kids to steal crap music off the radio, I'd help my Mum set ours up to tape Radio Bristol's commentary of Bristol Rovers games

@AmazonHelp I've already tried calling. The response from your agent was as per the original tweet.
Feel free to direct message me or email [email protected]
@DPD_UK delivered us a parcel meant for someone else, and won't take it back until amazon pay for it to be returned
@AmazonHelp won't request it to be sent back until I give them a reference I don't have (as it's not for me)
Should I sell it or invoice them for storage?
@bearsfeeder @davedupplaw @WDSDevelopers@atlassiandev I tried VS code live sharing in beta and it seemed to work well.
Were about to trial Eclipse Che too so we'll hopefully have an opinion on which is better soon
Neither give you the piece of paper to scribble on next to you though 😔
Any other former @WDSDevelopers trying to introduce pairing elsewhere may find this @atlassiandev blog useful:
https://t.co/AodUCa9uhw
It's includes some stuff which you do subconsciously that you almost forget to mention it to people new to pairing
@davedupplaw I so agree. The only saving grace for the start of python projects was jupyter notebooks.
At least then I could manually validate each step (including showing visualisations).
All felt so amature tho
This week I added 5 blogs related to introducing TDD
The two I think are or most use are:
Is TDD dead v Your career is unconscious

DOJOs to introduce TDD to the team

Developers should "abandon agile" said Ron Jefferies (who helped to write the agile manifesto).
If as a developer you aren't feeling the benefit, this could be why?

Do your "focus group" meetings actually lead to a decent outcome?
If not the Toyota Improvement Kata is a simple proven change that can really help:

Thanks to Andy Sweetman for introducing us to it
@katcrichton Great shout. I think security, and fear of the unknown is the "seed", and proliferation of information then reneforces this...
If you go to devoxx and hear about spring's new features then you're more likely to adopt them than xpday attendees hearing about alternative options
Do you know where you're heading with your career/development? This matrix has helped many people
