About time I discussed why intermittent renewable energy sources (wind and solar) are a huge problem for the well-being of society. I believe this is one of the greatest struggles of our time. A thread:
@WattInduction@tonywestonuk It was the state that gave value to the gold, and before that it was the temples that gave value to the gold. Gold hadno value on it's own in tribal societies.
@Jakub04975383@tonywestonuk You didn't need to barter, people used gold coins and ingots as money for thousands of years without paper money. The fact that paper money was redeemable for gold, a money that emerged from the market process, tells you everything you need to know.
@K_Niemietz I thought the billionaires were hoarding wealth at the expense of the wider population? According to that chart the % of wealth held by billionaires has barely moved for decades.
1) The left are pumping the idea (again) that wealth redistribution is driven by billionaires. Even recognising inflationary periods cause redistribution but that it is driven into the hands of billionaires and therefore wealth taxes are required.
2) Look at the Covid period of inflation and look at the far reaching consequences. Mass immigration, asset bubbles etc. Has there been a more coordinated global inflationary period in history? Will there be another Great Depression?
3) If AGI materialises, what happens to human action? If AGI can reason then what are the economic consequences?
This has been a constant ploy over many years to attempt to redefine what British culture is, and in even some cases, deny its existence. “It’s just baked beans and roast dinners”. By merely raising the question of “what even is British culture” they imply native Brits do not exist which opens the door for their definitions of what British should be in order to “culturally enrich” us. These people are foul and would never stand it for happening in their home countries.
@paulmasonnews Doesn’t matter. 100,000+ Brits are exiting each year on net and hundreds of thousands (600,000+ this year) of non-EU are entering. The cultural fabric of this country is changing beyond recognition.
@PatrickC1995 And then presents the solution to said problems as socialism. They have no logical foundation of showing how their conception of the economy will be morally superior and more productive.
