i once heard someone say “if there are 12 Nazis in a room and they ask you to have dinner with them and you agree, then there are 13 Nazis in that room” and i think a lot of people fundamentally don’t understand that. but it’s 100% true.
@dieworkwear In the examples you show - especially the third one - I think part of the problem is it’s a silk tie. What if he was wearing a striped knitted tie, for example? Would your view remain the same?
Simply don’t understand those willing to deny the evidence of multiple doctors from a variety of different countries; independent investigators all with long and established careers, journalists, survivors and witnesses, a pile of visual evidence as well as their own eyes - and still attempt to discredit those who report this. - whether they’re survivors, medics, academics or journalists…
@sashafrerejones What is so disappointing is that every stance they ever had is discredited because now we all know they only adopted it because it was safe and cool - not because they truly believed it. Once anything was actually difficult it was all “oh we don’t do student politics”.
@MikeTappTweets@ZackPolanski Voted Labour all my adult life. You have entirely lost me over Gaza. And no matter who you put in charge, as long as this ⬆️ is policy you will never have my vote again.
.@RamiElghandour is right:
Palestine is the moral issue of our time
Attempts to silence those of us that say this tend to achieve just the opposite

Absurd and inhuman violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East, profaned by the blasphemy of war and the brutality of business, with no regard for people’s lives, which are considered at most collateral damage of self-interest. But no gain can be worth the life of the weakest, children, or families. No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood.
@rfkenmore This looks a lot more like their Japan offering, where the original wax jackets aren’t as popular due to the (perceived) smell. They even have a type called “peach feel” to try and replicate the touch of a real Barbour.
@graham_euan Heard a story: he is a tea enthusiast. When he came to Japan, he discovered the electric kettles people use (電気ポット). Got someone from the embassy to rush out and find him one before his flight, left without paying. Has always coloured my view of him.
