Pakistan’s manufacturing sector continued to strengthen in August, with the HBL Pakistan Manufacturing PMI, compiled by S&P Global, rising to 51.8 from 51.7 in July — its highest reading since March.
The improvement was underpinned by stronger new orders, sustained production growth, rising exports and improving business confidence.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 ���𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀

• 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 — stronger order flows sustain manufacturing output growth.
• 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 — purchasing activity rises for the 3rd straight month, while inventories are built further.
• 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 — delivery delays ease to their lowest level since November 2025.
• 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 — input cost inflation eases to its lowest level in 2026.
• 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 — optimism rises to among its highest levels this year, supported by expectations of sustained sales growth.

And Pakistan is back in the international capital markets, raising billions through Eurobonds.
The next challenge is clear:
🇵🇰 Stop relying on debt.
📦 Grow exports of goods.
💻 Export services.
💵 Build reserves through earnings, not borrowing.
The real goal should be $20bn → $30bn+ reserves through exports. ✅
