A hyperactive minority of highly polarized users contribute to community notes.

As social platforms have removed fact checkers, they have relied more on community notes. But community notes are drive by a small number of hyperactive contributors who are not neutral volunteers: they are selective in the content they engage with and substantially more polarized than the overall population.

This system is unstable: the emergence and visibility of notes often depends on the behavior of a few dozen highly active users, and even minor perturbations in their participation can lead to markedly different outcomes.

In sum, rather than decentralizing epistemic authority, community-based fact-checking on X reconfigures it, concentrating substantial power in the hands of a small, polarized group of highly active contributors.

1. Strengthen our faith in Him.
2. Increase our humility.
3. Seek help from others.
4. Be patient.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a weird religion.

We believe we lived with God before coming to earth.

We believe that God always intended for Adam and Eve to partake of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

We believe in Jesus’ grace is sufficient to save and He saves those who keep His commandments.

We believe in performing rituals or ordinances as part of keeping His commandments.

We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached to those who are dead in the next life, that they might have the opportunity to accept His gospel and have faith in Him.

We believe in performing ordinances for the dead, which are essential to live in the Kingdom of God.

We believe we have a divine potential to be like Him.

We believe in following Christ’s example of loving our neighbors and sharing the Gospel that has so richly blessed our lives.

The weirdest thing about our religion is probably that even though we receive absolute vitriol from others, we see everyone as our brother or sister of the same Heavenly Father and try to love and help them.

"As the world speaks less of Jesus Christ, let us speak more of Him."

One small way to speak more of Christ is to use the full name of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. (Instead of just saying The Book of Mormon)

I type the full name of the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ on almost all of my responses online.

It takes more effort guaranteed. BUT, imagine the impact if everyone did this. We would definitely be speaking more of Christ and at the same time helping people see the connection between that sacred volume of scripture and Jesus Christ.

Sometimes the clearest testimony of Jesus Christ is simply letting the Book of Mormon speak for itself.

Here are a few verses that never stop pointing me back to Him.

2 Nephi 25:26
And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Mosiah 3:17

Alma 7:11–13
