On the news of reported “fresh” blood found on Mohbad’s coffin:
As a doctor, I do not know enough neither have I seen enough clear evidence or pictures to categorically say he was “buried alive”. I have however seen pictures suggesting blood on his coffin which was exhumed today.
Let’s do a little medical analysis:
There are some basic medical facts;
IF someone was buried 8days ago, I would expect there should be no fresh blood- if indeed and truly the blood seen is actually fresh.
IF the blood is fresh;
Then that automatically begs some questions:
1. Whose blood is it? (Is it certainly only his blood? Or is it also someone else’s blood who may have handled his corpse?)
2. Is there blood also inside the coffin? Or is it just only and solely on the outside of the coffin?
3. Where exactly is he bleeding from? (He was not known to have suffered any physical injuries around the time of his death. Infact the news was of an alleged ear infection, an unnamed injection by an unnamed nurse and then death). So where is the bleeding from? It is very unlikely an injection site will cause that much bleeding, so where is it from?
4. Which doctor confirmed him to be dead when he was rushed to the hospital? Was he even seen by a doctor at all? (As a part of professional medical practice, any patient who is suspected to have died within a hospital MUST be certified dead by a doctor). So which doctor certified him dead? He or she needs to answer questions from the police about their role as well.
IN CONCLUSION:
I do NOT think the presence of blood outside of his coffin is incontrovertible evidence he was “buried alive”. I would be very careful not to tow or follow that very emotional line. It may turn out to be very false and misleading- by the time the autopsy is concluded.
I would appeal to the public that we try not to assume he was buried alive - except and unless this is proved to be so. Even IF that were the case, he’s spent 8days in that grave, he’s definitely and surely dead now. Quite sadly so.
WHAT THIS ALL MEANS NOW:
This whole situation further confirms the position that I and many others have held, which is that, Mohbad’s death reeks of a combination of potential foulplay, possible medical negligence and collusion - all leading to the inevitable conclusion of a likely murder.
Please join me to implore @jidesanwoolu@followlasg and the @PoliceNG to do EVERYTHING within their powers to unearth and expose the whole truth regarding this clearly suspicious death.
Repost this until the authorities see it!
