"Fashion still has a long way to go."
The clothing industry accounts for 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions thanks to cheap, synthetic fabrics derived from fossil fuels.

@wigsandwords Well we’re not supposed to be in this fight or flight response for extended periods and it takes it’s toll. I missed a meeting last week too - so unlike me also - felt so strange. We need a proper break - before returning to reality x

@R0bertaLee Hi Roberta - we would love to be considered - we are a circular English knitwear brand, grown and made with no toxic inputs in NW England, certified by Fibreshed ✨
https://t.co/uWCsifC8cN - my friend’s new company that seeks to reinvigorate the UK #wool trade so that farmers are paid properly for wool they are currently throwing away or burning - is now LIVE. And it’s #woolweek, so that all worked out quite nicely 🐑
Look at what arrived in the post! These are 1kg cones of 100% Bluefaced Leicester wool, sourced, scoured and spun in North-West England #sustainablefabric#locallysourced
Nearly 700 fleeces went to the wool board and got paid today, £220, if I had to pay someone to come in and do it would have cost me £875, it’s ridiculous, it’s an insulator, a great clothing material, but we’d rather buy plastic clothing than save our industry #farmingmatters
