@robinlundberg Voting CC 11th while guarding her like she’s #1 says everything. The jealousy is obvious. She’s driving attention, revenue, and growth for the entire league. Imagine how much bigger the WNBA could be if its own players embraced the moment instead of resenting it.
@BrickCenter_ Voting her 11th while guarding her like she’s #1 every single night? The pettiness is unreal.
Can’t wait for these bitter veterans to retire and make room for real talent. This league is choking on hate and deserves every bit of irrelevance coming its way
@CClarkReport WNBA players rank Caitlin Clark #11… yet guard her like she’s #1 with the hardest coverage in the league.
Their jealousy is next level. She’s the biggest star, biggest draw, and biggest threat. They can vote CC #11 but their actions put her squarely at #1. 👀
#CaitlinClark
@nosyone4 WNBA players voting Caitlin Clark #11 is wild 😂
But every game they guard her like she’s the #1 player in the league. The jealousy is loud. She’s drawing the biggest crowds, breaking records, and elevating the whole W.
#CaitlinClark is undeniable
@alexaphilippou Players rank CC 11th among guards but triple-team her like she's the MVP of the league. Make it make sense. She's earning that respect on the floor whether they vote for it or not. 😂 #CaitlinClark
@UnderdogWNBA WNBA players voted Caitlin Clark the 11th-best guard for All-Star... yet they guard her like she's the undisputed #1 every single night.
Actions > ballots. The respect is real even if the vote wasn't. 🏀🔥
So let me get this straight because I feel like we are all living in an altered reality world. More than a week ago the Fever and Mercury played a game which resulted on 5 technicals and 1 ejection. They played again on Wednesday in which CC left the game in the 3rd due to back pain. During the time she played there were several cheap shot taken at Clark, one of which was ignored, one not upgraded, and one a called offensive foul. After the game the coach called out the fouls the refs inconsistencies. The foul was reviewed and later called a flagrant 2 which resulted in a suspension due to not being ejected during the game. So what exactly is the controversy?
Somewhere along the way this was turned into Thomas becoming the victim. The "Fee AT"'shirts for a one game suspension? The Mercury coach stating no one from the league had checked on AT. Mercury players posting they stand with AT. ESPN announcers saying the suspension was a forced reaction caused by the outrage of fans looking at still frame pics. Thomas gets on televisions saying she has death threats against her and wants the league 's protection. We also have Steph White speaking up for AT. There is absolutely no place for hate of any type. The fact that she did not speak up about hate towards Caitlin, her own player is odd. White in fact has put all the hate blame on I guess what she thinks are CC fans. In fact not one person has spoken up in Caitlin's defense except for Sophie Cunningham. Now both CC and Sophie have been absent from practices for 2 days, with a back injury and an illness. No one knows any info about the back injury.....she apparently came into the season with it, as she was fine during USA basketball in March. Sophie's sickness, who knows.
This entire season had given weird vibes. At this point I don't know what to think of the WNBA. People aren't buying the ride for each other act anymore though. Actions speak louder than words. @CathyEngelbert@AmberLCox@StephanieWhite@NBA@cdssportspod@rhodesrants
I really respect Caitlin for never acting like a victim, even when she’s the one who’s been wronged. Has even defended people who’ve wronged her. She just keeps showing up, lets her game do the talking, and carries herself with class. That’s real strength. I hope she’s okay!
@cbrennansports The WNBPA declining comment is peak jealousy vibes. New talent rolls in with actual skill and suddenly 'fist in throat' is just 'enthusiastic defense'? Union out here protecting the old guard like it’s their full-time job. Not surprised at all.
@ThrillaRilla369 Circus peanuts are the worst candy. These orange foam abominations taste like artificial banana regret with the texture of stale packing material. They ruin every Halloween bag and make you question your life choices. Utterly pointless and offensive.
@CCFCAsia Did that yesterday. The old guard is scrambling to stay relevant, they are jealous of the young talent carrying the league now. Sydney's take defending the dangerous play on Caitlin just shows it. Time to move on.
