So my big question is this..Why is there such a controversy over Alyssa Thomas''s suspension? Is it because Caitlin Clark was involved? Shouldn't the real controversy be the inconsistencies and incompetencies of the league officials? We are being played people....The WNBA has yet to address or take any accountability concerning the refs. Instead they have sent their analysts to speak portraying Thomas as a victim. In a sense she is a victim, the victim of inconsistent officiating. When the majority of the coaches are going on television complaining, there is a problem.
There is no controversy. A flagrant 2 was missed and later reviewed. The result was a suspension. Had the foul been called, Thomas would have been immediately ejected. That's no controversy, that's rules.
What bothers me is people's reactions. That includes the reactions from former players, with the exception of Lisa Leslie. It does not matter the intent, the foul was made, yet the plea is being made that intent is the issue. There are consequences for fouls. That's accountability. Everyone is pleading about Thomas receiving hate, which no one should be receiving hate at all. I have not heard one person ask about Clark in all of this. Clark has not said one word. The Fever, other than the little post sent out about safety has said nothing. The same for the league. Even her teammates, except for Cunningham have said nothing. Stephanie White called it out in her press conference, as it should have been, yet Caitlin takes the blame....and for what? The referees inconsistency? You didn't have the same outrage when Izzy Harrison was ejected from a game 2 weeks ago. Why? There should have been no outrage there either, but what's the difference?
We're being punked for attention and for ratings, and we're keeping all this hate and pettiness going, which is what the WNBA wants.
People, we have to do better. It's easy to be a keyboard warrior and spew hateful messages back and forth, but what is it accomplishing? The message we should be sending is to @CathyEngelbert , that we want to see good, clean basketball and be able to watch our favorite players ball out without worrying about them getting injured.

Every time Black people put pressure on Chiney, she starts spiraling.
Was what Alyssa Thomas did to Caitlin Clark a dangerous foul? Yes.
Did the ref ignore it? Yes.
Would it have resulted in a suspension if it had been called in the game? No, because she would have been kicked out immediately.
And when she did it to AR, was it in game? Yes, and she was kicked out.
All this goalpost shifting only proves CC fans right. You guys absolutely hate her.
@jasonwhitlock It is being implemented for other players, but not for Caitlin. The way she drives to the bucket, she should go to the line at least 12 times a game.
As controversy swirls over Alyssa Thomas’ one-game suspension, I reached out to WNBPA exec. director Terri Jackson, asking this:
“Is it punishable to put your fist in another player’s throat, or is it not?”
Players’ union spokesman: “The WNBPA respectfully declines comment.”
Hey Annie, have you asked about all vitriol that Caitlin Clark received
and continues to receive? Have you checked that she is on the receiving end of more flagrant fouls than anyone else combined? That's targeting. Your ignorance astounds me. You are correct though in your assumptions...The WNBA is filled with hate, pettiness, jealousy, racism, and discrimination. They are literally their own worst enemy.
@jasonwhitlock Word vomit for clicks. In case y'all don't Mr. Whitlock can't keep Clark's name out of his mouth because he sees opportunity. He's wishy washy, like a chameleon changing colors according to which narrative he's trying to push.
The fact that @espnW even posted this clip is baffling to me. There is so much ignorance in this opinion. The @WNBA did not base the fine & suspension on a freeze-frame. They looked at several angles of the video and rectified a bad no-call by the refs.
@mofaya_@AnnieCostabile@AnnieCostabile Annie, Annie, Annie...bless your poor clueless little soul. Check out other professional sports leagues. Investigations for missed calls are done all the time.
