There were *NO* tornado warnings in North Carolina during April.
Typically, this is one of our busiest months for severe weather.
More surprisingly, this is the second year in a row. 2025 also had no tornado warnings in the state.

A portion of Mecklenburg county is now under an exceptional drought... About 5% of South Carolina has been added to exceptional as well. Not great news!
Showers and t-storms holding together strong while making it's way over to Charlotte through the late morning... gusty winds, lightning, and brief heavy downpours are expected across the metro through 10 AM.
Well round 1 of rain today was underwhelming... we're not done yet though with afternoon/evening t-storms developing as a front moves in. Hail, damaging winds, and lightning will be the primary concerns so keep an eye out if you're headed to Bruno Mars tonight!
