6/22 World Cup Forecast 🧵
It's another quadruple header here in the US as we get closer and closer to the end of the group stage.
First up, we come to Dallas, Texas, for Argentina vs Austria, kicking off at 12 pm CDT (1 pm EDT, 11 am MDT, 10 am PDT). As you commute to the match and get into the stadium, be aware of the potential for thunderstorms in the area. Rain is possible around kickoff and should clear out by the end of the match. Temperatures will remain in the low-mid 90s throughout the forecast period.

6/20 World Cup Forecast 🧵
It's a happy ship within the WTUS team after that USA victory and clinching group D, but we got even more World Cup action today!
2 US matches today and kicking it off at 10 am CDT (11 am EDT, 9 am MDT, 8 am PDT) is the Netherlands vs Sweden in Houston, Texas! This one might be a wet one as we anticipate rain and thunderstorms going into kickoff, but it should clear out soon after kickoff. There should be a break in the thunderstorms postgame before another round of thunderstorms moves through later in the afternoon. Other than that, the winds should stay relatively tame outside of the thunderstorms, and the temperatures will be in the 80s.

Lots of rain has fallen already. Flash Flood Emergencies have been issued across the Gulf Coast region as flooding has been observed in many areas in the area.
Radar is indicating that as much as 12-20 inches has fallen already in areas of southern MS and central LA. Heavy rainfall continues across the area as the complex continues.
Remember to always turn around, don't drown. It's better not to risk your life and take a detour than risk it and potentially face the consequences. Please remain weather aware in the area!
Tropical Storm #Arthur Advisory 5:
PTC One becomes Tropical Storm Arthur this morning in the Northwestern Gulf of America.
Arthur is expected to be short-lived, with the main concern being flooding rains across the Central Gulf Coast and Deep South over the next couple days, even after becoming a remnant low tomorrow.
6/17 World Cup Forecast 🧵
We have a busy day ahead of us with severe weather coverage and keeping tabs on the weather conditions for today's matches. So here is your forecast for today's US World Cup matches!
First up is Portugal vs. the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Houston, Texas, kicking off at 12:00 pm CDT (10 am PDT, 11 am MDT, 1 pm EDT)!
PTC 1 (future Arthur) is going to make the weather a little more interesting for our matches today. Around the time of the match, models are projecting PTC 1 to be sitting in the Gulf just off the coast, so we anticipate wind and rain being pushed onshore into the Houston area. We expect to have the rain to continue from pregame to postgame, so prepare accordingly. Other than the wind and rain, temperatures should sit in the 80s.

We are forecasting some beautiful weather for this patch with temperatures into the mid to high 70s. There will be a breeze with it picking up to 10-15 mph post-game, but it shouldn't have too much of an impact.
