One of today’s jobs was the stunning @cavalexmodels Class 56 302 in Colas Rail livery. The client provided a photo to be copied paying particular attention to the area of roof just above the cab windows where a lighter brown appears to gather. It’s a great model to work on.
Seeing as Class 20s spent the majority of their lives in pairs it makes sense to show them off as such! Weathered today for a client, one is faded and the other less so to offer a bit of contrast in the pairing as requested by their owner.

@7mmRosehearty@accurascale His Instagram showing his boards etc is @model_train_slapper I’ve linked him on my post on there. It’s a good set up for photos.
Yes this is actually a 4mm model! Weathered by myself an @accurascale Class 37 on the photo diorama board belonging to Darnell Ibraham . Absolutely stunning realism and it highlights how good the Accurascale 37 is when placed on a realistic back drop (maybe I’m biased)

Always good to see photos of my weathering work back on a layout. In this case my mate Paul’s stunning layout, aptly named ‘St. Paul’s’. Weathered a lot of his stuff over the past few years and the layout only helps add to the realism in the photos.

A pair of the brilliant @accurascale Class 37s with pre-TOPS numbers weathered this week for a client. The Green one is copied from a photo of a different class 37 as instructed. The BR Blue one is rather more standard in its weathering but reflecting an every day look. #tmrguk
@accurascale 66 recently weathered for a client to match a provided photo including the exhaust staining to the sides at very peculiar angles. It’s that kind of detail that you would never think to model unless working from an exact photo. It’s a great looking model tbf! #tmrguk
@DanNeidle I mainly buy second hand items and then retail them once I’ve modified them. 99% bought from private individuals so would be able to reclaim virtually zero VAT back. I’d basically be paying 20% tax on my TURNOVER. A tax bill greater than my profits. It would be ruining for me.
@Michaelgolf_ Just seen that. It’s gutting. Not looking like a great week this week. Need someone to magic something up out of nowhere but it’s looking like a place or 2 at best from what I can see? Frustrating
Some more newly added locos to my eBay. Recently purchased a large lot of locos in particular class 33, 37, 73 and 47 so there will be plenty more coming over the following weeks.

@LinesideSE Suggestion on Facebook was the Loco is stabled and the second man is having a snooze. So paper on the windows to shield him from the heat of the sun as well as the gaze of station staff and the public.
It can often be cruel comparing photos of a model and the prototype photo provided by a client side by side as you can never get the weathering completely exact but in general it’s about going for the closest likeness you can. This is the result. Heljan O gauge 31. #tmrguk
