Web3 isn’t about kids’ games or medical use cases. It’s about decentralization.

The world we live in is owned by companies, centralized platforms that control users, markets, and developers. Meta is one of them. If you’re building on Facebook, you’re building on rented land. The moment they change the rules, you’re done. No ownership, no backup plan.

When Facebook decided to stop supporting Flash games, thousands of games, creators, and communities just vanished. That same thing happens across industries all the time.

That’s what Web3 is actually about. Ownership, portability, control. Meta could never actually build Web3 or a true metaverse, because their whole model depends on control. Web3 is the opposite.

And yeah, early Web3 was messy. But every new tech wave starts that way. What matters is that there are real builders still here, people like us at Freename, working to build actual utility and give ownership back to users.
