Upskilling in Web3: Let’s Be Honest for a Second

If you’ve been in Web3 longer than one cycle, you already know the truth:

This space does not wait for anybody.

One minute you’re farming DeFi yields.
Next minute it’s NFTs.
Then AI agents.
Now RWAs and modular chains.

If you blink, the timeline has moved on without you.

I’ve seen it happen too many times. People get comfortable. They master one lane.

The market shifts. Suddenly they’re tweeting “wen bull?” instead of building.

Web3 isn’t a corporate job where you can sit in one role for 10 years. It’s more like being an athlete.

If you stop training, someone younger, sharper, and hungrier takes your spot.

But here’s the key, upskilling doesn’t mean chasing every shiny new narrative like a degen chasing pumps.

It means stacking skills that make sense together.

If you’re a content creator, learn basic on-chain analytics so your threads actually have substance.

If you manage communities, understand tokenomics so you’re not just moderating vibes.

If you’re building, learn AI tools so you move 10x faster than the average dev.

Think of it like upgrading your character in a game. You don’t reset your build every week. You add attributes that make your main skill stronger.

The people who last in Web3 aren’t just loud. They’re adaptable. Curious. Slightly obsessed with learning.

Because in this industry, survival isn’t about luck.
It’s about evolution.

So be real with yourself, are you building skills that make you valuable in any cycle… or are you secretly depending on the next bull run to carry you?

I had a conversation with a mentor recently, and it forced me to pause and rethink how we’re building Oz Network

The truth is simple: a protocol without a community is just an idea floating in space.

We’ve been active on X educating, raising awareness, exposing misinformation and that has been important (kudos to my writer)

But awareness alone doesn’t equal adoption cuz If we launched our first Oz Network product today, it would honestly be served to thin air

Not because the product isn’t needed, but because we don’t yet have a home for the people we’re trying to protect and serve.

What we’re missing is an active community layer; a Telegram or Discord where users actually;
✓Show up & ask questions

✓Submit suspicious links, follow case studies and

✓Rely on us to verify information in real time

A place where trust is built through proximity and not just posts. X is great for reach, but in-depth community platforms are where credibility is earned.

For Oz Network to truly work out;

I need to build an audience with my team that doesn’t just read our content, but uses our tools,

Engages with our findings, and treats us as a reference point when misinformation hits CT.

This is the next phase of building Oz Network I'm looking forward to. Not louder tweets, but closer conversations.
