The New Stone Age at the @BuildingCentre is now back open! The exhibition shows the potential of #stone as a modern #construction material and celebrate its beauty as well as its inherent #sustainability 💚👏
The exhibition is open until 12 September 2020.
Building Centre have reopened the Stone Exhibition for a short period&will organise at least one evening open air talk with drinks on how to build in stone up to 30 stories tall, save 60-95% embodied CO2 (compared to concrete/steel) & with timber become around 110% CO2 negative
Compare the carbon footprint of stone to concrete and steel and you might be surprised: 0.079kg/kg against 0.15 and 2.8. Stone is unexpectedly sustainable @stonemasonryco#ribajintelligence

@Nixalas@WebbYates@stonemasonryco Well spotted, I’d snapped a close-up. I’ll see whether they can upload the whole presentation somewhere I can resend a link to. In the meantime move the bottom of limestone against concrete do both bottom lines align, they’re the same scale.
In case the ISE don’t upload today’s webtalk on structural stone with @WebbYates @stonemasonryco, here are 4 of WY’s slides on strength&sustainability. The sort of clear logic its both embarrassing&bewildering we hadn’t noticed before
Explore the contemporary use of stone in a variety of structural applications. The often-overlooked material has impressive versatility. Join speakers @stonestair (Chair),
Pierre Bidaud, @scott_agnosia, and Amin Taha at 12:30 BST on 29 April. Register: https://t.co/FrCB7fVYPS
Cutty Sark, not the one you're thinking, is a bungalow refurbishment with vertical extension and is the next shortlisted project in the #AJSmallProjects shortlist. Good luck @MEGArchitects view gallery >> https://t.co/k4jXjN6T8V @ArchitectsJrnal
Today we celebrate our 15th birthday and even if we couldn't share a cake in the office, we did quite well at celebrating in lockdown 🎂 As we enter a new year we look back on 15 years of completed projects, see them all👉 https://t.co/AcckC3pub4
We are really pleased to have been shortlisted for the AJ small projects awards again this year, and to have a good article in the Architects Journal too. With huge thanks to our self-building clients. @ArchitectsJrnal#AJSmallProjects
