There are over 100 000 more girls playing football than there were 5 years ago but only 5% of FA-qualified coaches in England are women. And there is an entire generation of knowledgeable, passionate female football fans who never had access to playing the game in any form. We'd love to keep that passion in the game.

So today with the @BarclaysFooty Community Football Fund we will be providing hundreds of grants to cover the cost of the FA Introduction to Coaching Football course and this will hopefully be the starting point in the coaching journey for many more female coaches across the UK.
