Here is a good Ugandan story I must tell!

Yesterday (Sunday) evening I transacted at an ATM at Total Kyanja, but I only picked the card and drove away. I was exhausted and distracted.
When I reached my destination, I realized I didn’t have the money and surely I must have left it at the machine.

I drove back and arrived after about 30 minutes. I found this man, the guard, seated waiting and hoping that I’d return.
He had picked the money and badly wanted to give it to the owner!!

He handed me the man! He explained that no matter how little he earns, he has to be honest. I was humbled and grateful. Of course, I know what to do in such circumstances- gave him a good tip - a portion of the money! He was happy for that but especially that he was able to see me and return the money.

That’s my hero! @G4S you have a great staff in Geofrey! There are few people like that left.

It’s unfortunate that a party waiting to be in power, claims to be champions of justice can write such a shabby statement that’s gone out there unsigned and accuses journalists of being political actors. The freedom of the press ought to be protected at all times. Media serves as a guarantee for our freedoms (including NUP’s), and as a bulwark against abuse of power because it holds leaders to account. NUP have chosen to act like the leadership in power - chosen not to care about these freedoms themselves claim to fight for. It’s very absurd, but it’s also a good thing that we now know what they truly stand for.
