@SilvaDorkable This is due to how the wheels run at different speeds when turning. Similar to how you'll find when you turn, your outside leg will be moving in longer strides than your other leg which will run in shorter strides when turning.
@SilvaDorkable Aight, let's start with train wheels first. Why are they shaped like the way they are? You see, the part where the wheels touch the rails are actually conical. Usually you can barely see it, but anyway, the conical shape is meant to help keep the train aligned through the turns.
