@oliverjanik @mjovanovictech Depends what you define as messaging. Local messaging or distributed messaging. Even local messaging with an outbox pattern is a common use case. Mediatr and how people used it for everything was indeed overkill.

@wookash_podcast Homebrew hosts predominantly Open Source software which then is very often command line driven. Where do you expect command line driven apps to be installed from, the App Store? Windows and Linux have package managers . Nuget and Npm are package managers too, what’s your point?

@mjovanovictech You still have too many layers, in my opinion, and completely miss the simplicity of vertical slice architecture. You don’t need a repository layer on top of your database. Just use the DBContext directly. You don’t need a domain layer, just put DTOs in the feature folder.

@techyoutbe But nobody in their right mind would use Python for their back end or front end hosted on AWS or Azure. Too power hungry and slow. Python was made for the desktop and to push my non-Python code to production.
