A resident called to report a bear near Beattie Elementary today. The school was placed on secure status (doors locked, learning continued). You may see police presence as we work with @CPW_NE to relocate the wayward visitor to a more suitable learning environment for bears.

@WellingtonFire1 @poudrefire @uchealth units are still on scene wrapping up. 2 patients transported to local hospitals by ground ambulances and 1 patient by Lifeline 1 air ambulance.

Final Update: With the hot dry day, emergency evacuations had been ordered as a precaution. Thankfully firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and the evacuation orders were cancelled. #NunnFire

Responders have knocked down the grass #fire about six miles north of Wellington. It is estimated to have burned about 105 acres. No structures were damaged and no injuries have been reported. #Firefighters are working to locate and extinguish remaining hot spots. #NunnFire

Crews have knocked down the fire. One resident was rescued from an exterior basement window and was evaluated and released on scene. PFA crews are clearing the scene, and the investigation is underway.

The NWS has issued a Red Flag warning for Larimer County for elevations below 6000 feet from 1200 hours until 2000 hours today, 4/19, due to wind and low relative humidity. Winds are SW 10-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Relative humidity as low as 10%.
