@RealCandaceO Greenland is rich in natural resources: oil, gas and rare earth minerals. Same reason as Maduro was removed from power: Venezuela has oil. Same reason Sadaam Hussein was overthrown: Iraq has oil. Same reason for First Gulf War: Kuwait had oil.
It’s never complicated.
@elonmusk An Independent judiciary is a key pillar in democracy. Those who seek to subvert the independence of the judiciary seek to subvert democracy. With every passing day Musk sinks lower, and further towards the extreme right.
@elonmusk Imagine States coming together for the common good, United on issues like foreign policy and defence, and yet retaining their own sovereignty on local matters. Ex Pluribus Unum. States United. What a concept that would be, eh?
@DanielPriestley To a certain extent the answer to your question relates to perspective: all was not as rosy as you suggest in 2012. Since 2012 we have endured the 2008 crash, 2016-21 protracted Brexit, 2020-2022 Pandemic, and Liz Truss. We’re doing ok considering.
@OctopusEnergy Unpack this one…think Octopus meter fitting man is having a bad day. Mrs W managed to remain as professional as an Octopus Social Media Manager…
@JMPSimor@Conservatives I think I understand, as do most people with some degree of social media literacy, that the response from Susan Hall is not one of approval.
@BanburyRUFC@OxfordshireRFU@fyb_rugby Thanks fellas. There have been some great derbies over the past few years between Banbury & Quins, always a tough place to visit and a great experience to boot. Go well next season too,
@SlCathy This is our family home, Sadlers. The part of the house with the jetty is a bit of a mystery: from 1st to ground floor level the walls are filled with earth. The jetty room you see can only be accessed via a panel in the wall above the back stairs. Old store? Insight welcome!
Massive game alert! Table toppers Quins take on 2nd place @stourbridgerfc at home on Saturday. Stourbridge have a game in hand so it’s a crucial game for both teams. We welcome as much support as possible, come on you mighty Quins!!!

@tonybrett@MarkLygo Ridiculous comment, LTNs have nothing to do with climate change. Stop making throwing mud at anyone who disagrees with you Tony, it’s a poor look.
@AvaSantina I don’t normally interact on X/Twitter - it’s a pretty unpleasant place.
@AvaSantina - that buffoon’s vile rant told us everything about him - just vile nonsense.

(ok it’s from Mulan but still…)
Thread 🧵 Probably the most poignant letter I will ever read to passengers and someone I always make sure to visit whilst in Arnhem is Ivor Rowberry. Ivor came from Wolverhampton. He didn’t survive. Here is the letter he wrote to his mum 1/
@zeros3ss@MayorofLondon@Keir_Starmer cf. Uxbridge. Voters are simple creatures. It accrued because (after unsuccessful appeal) TFL agreed a payment scheme over the phone (I witnessed the call) then kept no records of it. £1350 fine for a student is worse than he would get for selling drugs at University. Madness.
