@DanielPriestley To a certain extent the answer to your question relates to perspective: all was not as rosy as you suggest in 2012. Since 2012 we have endured the 2008 crash, 2016-21 protracted Brexit, 2020-2022 Pandemic, and Liz Truss. We’re doing ok considering.

@SlCathy This is our family home, Sadlers. The part of the house with the jetty is a bit of a mystery: from 1st to ground floor level the walls are filled with earth. The jetty room you see can only be accessed via a panel in the wall above the back stairs. Old store? Insight welcome!

It accrued because (after unsuccessful appeal) TFL agreed a payment scheme over the phone (I witnessed the call) then kept no records of it. £1350 fine for a student is worse than he would get for selling drugs at University. Madness.
