I doubt that his personal decency is at issue right now (although unfulfilled promises may affect that later); it is his lack of empathy with the nation's concerns, his lack of transparency (City) and efficacy in a time of crisis, his apparent superficiality, that have done for him as a leader in my own opinion.
Well I have heard that the reality was a panicked message to the Irish Guards, who quickly assembled some available bodies to fill uniforms at very short notice. I assume they were not armed with the usual rifles, because they may have been unqualified to carry them in that public space. The whole saga is a pathetic PR stunt gone badly wrong.
@TheNorskaPaul Something like that. Certainly not genuine Guards! Their Sergeant Major would have assigned them some very punitive 'training activities' for turning out like that, I am sure!
@ArchRose90@Rich79742692Ann A very composed lady, asking a simple question, and answering one, versus a career politician who is visibly scared. Shame!
