Postdoc at Tufts studying antibiotic resistance and host-pathogen interaction. Passionate about deep sequencing and computational biology. Views are my own.
@MikeNeug Yeah Jupyter notebook is very interactive and can be a good way to save your scripts and visualize output. I mainly use it for testing purposes
1/10. Pleased to tell you about our introductory work on drug resistance evolution in A. baumannii, spearheaded by former fellows Lindsay Busch and @WenMushroom, along with students @JHernBird and Efrat Hamami, with supercollaborators Jason Rosch, @tvanop @vscooper@SirMicrobe.

@aaronquinlan My personal experience is that both Geneious and CLC Genomic Workbench should handle 1000x easily (both are commercial products though). Going deeper would depend on the computer memory (and storage if using CLC).
1/ Fantastic #AcinetoVibes product of hard work by @MarioFeldman9. Great job by @m_strent. Thanks to all involved. Here is some more background on presentation by @JHernBird.
