We’re very happy to see our work developing what we think is a new state-of-the-art approach to develop high-grade serous ovarian cancer organoids now out in Developmental Cell. The efforts were brilliantly driven by @wojtsen with the support of many great collaborators. (1/3)
❓Why is it important to design new methods for #organoid culture?
❓How much should we validate our experimental models?
❓What about correlating #organoid drug responses to patient outcomes?

Summer vacation times are coming and it’s also time to think about what to do after the summer. There’s a position open in the BRIC high content CRISPR screens core facility! https://t.co/U2EdpyYxBl

Our next-gen method for generating #organoids from high-grade serous #OvCa is now available on @biorxivpreprint. Genetically and phenotypically relevant stable organoids from cryopreserved material. Great effort led by @wojtsen. https://t.co/wcfq4DMNJu
Finally, limitations of the work:
1. We still don't know how to grow 45% of HGSC samples as organoids in a long-term. Probably a 3rd medium will be needed🤷
2. More extensive in vitro/in vivo drug response correlation study is needed for #precisionmedicine applications
