It only needs 110-120mill to break even, so it might make a bit of money, but early projections aren't that strong with a 17-25mill projected opening weekend domestically. And this kind of movie doesn't usually perform well on the other side of the globe. Not to mention that DC has been struggling to hit projected box office numbers since the DCU started. Hoping that changes in the weeks to come as the Halloween season kicks in and makes people wanna see some horror movies, but for now I'm a bit anxious as to how it does.
Exactly. This is the first year in a long time where the VFX teams are gonna be working on a singular project and not have to be split up between different shows and movies (Born Again Season 3 post-production is said to be already nearly complete). At least until later in 2027 when production on the 2028 slate ramps up. They're essentially gonna have 6 whole months of working solely on this movie with every single one of their in-house and out-sourced VFX artists.
I genuinely don't think the higher ups at Disney allow that to happen. I think they'll be pretty adamant that it stays, because that would fuck up not only all of Marvel's release schedule, but Disney's as a whole. Besides, I think they have a lot of the pre-vis done already. Plus we've heard that Born Again Season 3 is nearly done with post production and will almost certainly be done before the end of the year. Meaning they have from January to December to use ALL of their resources and personel to get the movie done visually. Unlike most other years were they have had to split said resources and personel to work on several different projects at the same time.
@homeofdcu Did we learn nothing by trying to guage mass interest on Supergirl related tweets having tens of millions of views? Lets not get ahead of ourselves . . .
@pranil_deshmukh@KishanNavadiya4 Dawg it had lower streaming numbers than the last 5 DCEU flops (Black Adam, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Aquaman 2, and Shazam 2).

@Beyondreporter1 My guess is that pretty much everything outside of the Doomsday countdown on D+ is gonna be ignored. Not that they won't be seen as cannon, but they're events won't be acknowledged.
The director is not what I'm worried about at all. I unfortunately can't say the same about the writer. Kinberg may have Rebels under his belt, but this is a movie trilogy. The dude has done nothing since Days of Future Past to make me confident in his film writing capabilities. He doesn't exactly have the resume of someone that instills faith in me that he's gonna help Star Wars dig itself out of the hole it's currently in. This company has all the resources and money in the world, so him being the best pick they could come up with doesn't exactly thrill me. Especially when we had Soderbergh and Fincher pitching projects to Lucasfilm and having them turned down by higher ups. Now having a singular plan/vision may help, but for now I'm very nervous as to how this is gonna pan out. And knowing how reactionary Disney is, we could very well see history repeat itself if the first movie of this trilogy isn't received well. They could very well throw out his scripts like they did to Trevorrow's and cobble together yet another mess. With Lucasfilm's track record, you can't rule those kinds of possibilities out. I think people have every right to be concerned right now.
‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ currently has a 2h50m cut.
Domestic pre-sales are nearing $60M, but with ‘DUNE: PART THREE’ competing for premium screens, it remains to be seen whether it will have enough theaters to challenge ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’s opening record.
Having just read the interview, pretty sure he’s joking. He even says earlier in the same interview that they looked at Endgame as an ending at the time.
@DanielRPK They are painting a very different picture than what the plot leaks suggest. They make it sound like he has a substantial role in the movie. While the leaks make it sound like he's in it for 5 minutes and then dies.
