It's been a bit, and I think it's about time to start a new VN. Chuunige, but shouldn't be harder than 月姫 right?

Also gonna try posting my thoughts while reading- I'm a habitual lurker so this kinda thing is new to me, but I think it'll be good practice. Let's see how it goes!

I don't understand. The top is consistently both more accurate to the Japanese and reads better in English.

The line sounds awkward in isolation, but makes perfect sense when read in the full context. The old TL consistently read as awkward even in context, by comparison.

There's a unique patheticness to the website's "author" including a feature meant to allow visitors a comparison between Todokanai's original "incompetent" translation and the disjointed AI garbage that we're led to believe "surpasses" it. An ugly, scornful waste of time.

@oubagaku Have the AI write you a curriculum for learning and writing a text adventure game in python.

Then do the same in C.

Then play SpaceChem for 300 hours.

At that point you can then debug/diagnose the agent.

@oubagaku No, generally they would still be held liable if they were caught knowingly facilitating something illegal (and not knowing it was illegal aka "gray" is not a defense), and so retain rights to deny service in those cases.

It would still be on DLsite and etc. to prove legality.

@oubagaku The thing is that none of those would solve the problem. Those companies are already acting under the assumption that the banned content is (or could be) illegal.

Most of this escalated after Visa got burned in the MindGeek lawsuit. The fix is actually to add protections.

And the chargebacks for porn have always been a problem nothing changed there.

No, the reason credit card processors are cracking down now is because of the recent Fleites v. MindGeek/Visa court case.

Serena Fleites sued Mindgeek who owns Pornhub for monetizing CSAM of her that was posted.

The judge ruled the Visa should have know Pornhub was doing something illegal and refused to process payments.

Now, the credit card processors can be held liable if they process a transaction for illegal merchandise. They don't have the man power, nor the legal authority to know which material they might get sued over. So they're just getting rid of all of it.

Anything that could potentially be CSAM is out. And for then, it's better to safe than sorry.

Also, Aquaplus is under Yukes and Nitroplus is under CyberAgent.

@tv5834472 @linkasobi The biggest reason this wouldn't work is that 私 and etc. don't actually fill the same grammatical space as "I". But you *could* do it with "Me".

As for me, I ate.
As for Watashi, I ate.

The bigger problem is that we don't use this kind of sentence that often.

@gemiplus Non-Xrd players are hating on just another popular game, Xrd players are hating on a franchise that abandoned them.

It feels wierd to hate on it for that reason because the new fans who enjoy it aren't at fault, its ArcSys. Better to just move on.
