Memphis traded Jaren Jackson Jr. for a package that included a 2027 first-round pick from the Jazz that could theoretically be the No. 1 pick. That was part of the trade. And the NBA just undid it less than four months later. Now it can't even be in the top five.
Ridiculous.
The fact they didn’t change the goofy provision that completely changes the pick the Grizzlies got from Utah in JJJ deal and makes it Top 5 protected is ridiculous. Of course rest of league didn’t care because it helps them. It’s not even in the spirit of the rule. What a joke.
Sources said the Grizzlies voted against the new lottery reform solely because of the new rule disallowing a team from picking top 5 in 3 consecutive years. As @BobbyMarks42 says, the Grizzlies have the more favorable 2027 first-rounder of Cleveland, Minnesota and Utah, and because the Jazz again have a top-5 pick this year, their first in 2027 cannot be in the top-5 under new rules.
Kyle Shanahan was asked if it was the fact they had to go to Australia for Week 1 or that it was the Rams who asked the league to play the 49ers, that he wasn’t happy about:
“Both, but more of that than the other. We only get 3 close fights, whether it’s Seattle, Arizona or LA, so to get one of those taken away is tough. Especially when it’s 19 hours away on an airplane. That’s not like a small flight. So that adds up and I love our fans taking over SoFi. That’s awesome and I get why the Rams don’t want that.”

Claude users: "Opus has been feeling noticeably dumber lately. Something's off."
Claude team: "You're all just imagining it. Classic user delusion. Touch grass. Maybe try not being bad at prompting."

Claude team: "After extensive internal analysis, we can now confirm that Opus was, in fact, dumber for the past 31 days. Here's our 47-page technical report with graphs, appendices, and a very polite explanation of the mysterious regression that definitely wasn't our fault."
ps: "Also since today GPT-5.5 dropped here's a limit reset just to distract y'all from our failures."
@MacrodosingPod@ConnerHKnapp Big T called what we are feeling in Memphis. We love BDS but rumor has it LeBron is invested in Nashville. So it adds up for a guy that hates black people.
Over 60% of Tennesseans support legalizing marijuana. States like Massachusetts are generating nearly $300M a year in cannabis tax revenue.
Tennessee could be next—funding schools, roads, and infrastructure in our communities. The only thing “wacky” is leaving money on the table.
Of course, I’m happy to hear your point of view - on a debate stage. Name the time and place. While we're there, perhaps you can explain the millions of dollars you receive from opioid manufacturers and Big Pharma.
