Well, it looks like the bad news isn't over. A Lear 55 Air Ambulance flight crashed shortly after departing NE Philly airport this evening. Six passengers thought to be onboard.

As someone who has flown that exact approach into DCA (runway 33) countless times, last night's incident hit very close to home. Helos are constantly flying low along the river and have been a risk for many years. My heart goes out to the families of the passengers and crews.
