Wednesday last week I had two divine appointments, such as described by Timothy L. Farnes at October 2026 #GeneralConference. Many years ago I heard someone describe this type of event as a divine rendezvous. Here is what happened:

Two chance encounters on the same day while out and about, which clearly involved the hand of God. Both involved opportunities to minister to each other.

Another family milestone last week: our high school sophomore attended her first homecoming dance with a great group of friends.

This week one of my children began reading. Reading simple sentences, with ease and confidence. What a blessing to enjoy. Reading is a blessing for a whole life.

This is memorable: today my youngest child realized that everything has a name. He has begun pointing to everything in the house wanting to know the name of each thing he points at. Grateful to witness his joy of learning.

Twenty five years ago was September 11, 2001.

I remember the day. I pray others will remember it too. Documentaries and story telling matter for people too young to remember.

Remembering this day is important.

Today my wife saved a duck family. Mother duck with 9 ducklings. My wife saw the 1st fall into a storm drain. Our next door neighbor brought a tool to help her remove the metal grate. She retrieved 6 ducklings from the storm drain and reunited them. #animalrescue #ducklings #good
